Blue Mountains Musical Society is proud to present three special charity concert performances of the iconic Stephen Schwartz production of Godspell at both the Blue Mountains Theatre on 11 April 2026 and the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre on 2 May 2026.

Featuring a live 6-piece band and powerhouse cast, these performances will raise funds for the Central Tablelands and Blue Mountains Community Legal Centre, a vital local not-for-profit organisation providing free legal assistance to members of our community who need it most. Every dollar raised from this event will go directly to the charity.

Who are BMMS?

The Blue Mountains Musical Society (BMMS) is a community-based theatre group, producing high-quality musical theatre with local talent since 1981. They stage two major productions each year and are known for their strong community spirit, live orchestras, and professional-calibre performances.

Who are CTBMCLC

The Central Tablelands and Blue Mountains Community Legal Centre (CTBMCLC) is an independent, not for profit community organisation that provides free legal services to local communities. They prioritise services to those most in need. They cover an extensive catchment area with a population of over 200,000 people. 

In 2024-2025, 87% of casework clients were women, and 54% were sole parents. Family violence affected 100%, 25% were Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, 41% of clients live with a disability or mental illness, 8% were at risk of homelessness, 95% faced economic hardship, and 46% had few or no supports.

Their current services include:

  • Legal information, referrals, advice, task assistance and casework services to clients who are financially disadvantaged.
  • Community Legal Education (CLE) to inform community workers and/or community members about the law and legal system. 
  • Blue Mountains Tenants’ Advice and Advocacy Program (TAAP) which provides advice, representation and duty advocacy to tenants. 
  • Law reform and legal systems advocacy.
